What it is
AI article generation is the core of AutoPublish: you supply a target keyword or a content brief, and AutoPublish produces a complete, SEO-structured long-form draft — heading hierarchy, intro, body sections, FAQ block, and a conclusion — ready for review or publishing. It is not a blank-prompt chat box. Each draft is generated against a structured brief: search intent, the headings competitors actually rank with, the questions real searchers ask, your brand voice, and your Business Brain (products, approved claims, banned phrases). The model writes inside that frame instead of free-associating, which is what separates a draft worth publishing from generic AI text.
Why it matters
Structure, not just prose
Drafts come out with a real heading hierarchy, intent-matched sections, and an FAQ block — the structure search engines and readers expect, not a wall of text.
Your model, your key (BYOK)
Generate on GPT, Claude, or Gemini using your own API key. You pay provider rates with zero markup, and you choose the model that fits the job and budget.
Quality gate before publish
Every draft is scored by a 14-signal quality gate. Drafts below threshold are held back, so AI volume never becomes a thin-content liability.
On-brand by default
Brand voice and Business Brain feed every generation, so drafts carry your point of view and real product specifics instead of generic AI consensus copy.
How it works
Article generation runs as a brief-driven pipeline — you give it intent, it builds the brief, drafts against it, and gates the result.
- 1
Supply a keyword or brief
Start from a single target keyword, a topic-cluster slot, or a fully written brief. AutoPublish expands a keyword into a brief automatically using live SERP data.
- 2
AutoPublish builds the brief
Search intent, the heading patterns of ranking pages, real searcher questions, and word-count targets are assembled into a structured brief the model writes against.
- 3
Generate on your chosen model
Pick GPT, Claude, or Gemini. Under BYOK the request runs on your API key at provider cost. The model drafts inside the brief, your brand voice, and your Business Brain.
- 4
The 14-signal quality gate scores it
The finished draft is scored 0–100 across 14 signals — structure, depth, originality, internal linking, readability, and more. Drafts below threshold are flagged.
- 5
Review or auto-publish
Send the draft to the review queue for a human pass, or let passing drafts publish straight to your CMS. Featured image and meta are generated alongside the body.

Frequently asked questions
Which AI models can AutoPublish generate with?
GPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), and Gemini (Google). You choose the model per generation. Under BYOK the request runs on your own API key, so you pay the provider's published rate with no markup.
How is this different from prompting ChatGPT directly?
A chat box gives you free-form text from a free-form prompt. AutoPublish generates against a structured brief — real search intent, competitor heading patterns, searcher questions, your brand voice, your Business Brain — and then scores the result against a 14-signal quality gate. It's a publishing pipeline, not a prompt.
Will generated articles read as generic AI content?
That's the failure mode the brief and the quality gate exist to prevent. Drafts built on real intent data, your brand voice, and your product specifics are far less generic than untuned LLM output, and the gate flags drafts that still come out thin or templated.
How long are the articles?
Word-count targets come from the brief, which derives them from what's actually ranking for the keyword — typically 1,200–2,500+ words for competitive informational queries. You can override the target per article.
Can I edit the draft before it publishes?
Yes. Route drafts to the review queue, where the built-in editor lets you revise before approving. You can also regenerate sections. Straight-to-publish is available once you trust the output.
When AutoPublish is not the answer
We would rather you know now than sign up and churn. AutoPublish is not the right tool if any of these describe you:
- You need a few deeply original thought-leadership pieces — that is a job for a specialist writer with real lived experience, not a volume tool.
- You will not review AI output at all. The 14-signal quality gate is a safety net, not a replacement for editorial judgment.
- You want to publish thin content fast to game search. The quality gate is built specifically to stop that — you would be fighting your own tool.
- Your content needs licensed expertise — medical, legal, or financial advice — without a qualified expert reviewing it before publish.
- You need original news reporting or investigative journalism, which depends on primary sourcing AutoPublish does not do.
