Definition
A pillar page is a long-form, comprehensive piece of content that covers a broad topic at a high level and serves as the hub of a content cluster strategy. It links to more detailed cluster pages on specific subtopics and receives links from those pages in return. Pillar pages are typically 3,000–5,000 words, target high-volume head keywords, and are designed to rank for a wide range of semantically related queries through the authority concentrated by their cluster network.
