Index Coverage

Definition

Index coverage refers to the proportion of a website's pages that have been crawled and successfully included in a search engine's index. Google Search Console provides an Index Coverage report showing which pages are indexed, excluded, or erroring. Low index coverage on important pages typically indicates technical issues such as noindex tags, canonical misconfigurations, blocked resources, or thin-content penalties.
